We are delighted to be recruiting for this essential position within this leading international transport and Logistics Company. If you are an energetic, organised and commercially astute, we would love to discuss this role in more detail with you. They have businesses across the UK, Europe and the Middle East and are looking to enhance their engineering division within the UK by employing a committed and dedicated individual who will be able to ensure that their engineering programme is driven forward.

For this position, you will be responsible for the management of multiple key engineering projects across the UK and therefore, there will be regular travel involved within the role. Your organisational and customer service skills will be vital in ensuring that the infrastructure and plant and auxiliary equipment maintenance projects are programmed and executed efficiently and to budget.

One of your key projects upon commencement of your position will be the reconfiguration works to accommodate the HS2 development which runs through an existing site, as well as other schemes and redevelopments at Southampton and Ipswich. You will have budgetary and management responsibility for projects within your remit which may also include employee, contractor and sub-contractor management, as applicable.

As a professional who has previous experience in managing multi-million pound projects from concept to completion, this position will allow you showcase your exemplary management skills and civils knowledge whilst working for a company which has over 50 years reputation of providing a dynamic logistics solution.

As a key individual within the engineering team, your key responsibilities will include:

* Manage the budget and the project works

* Manage the staff, suppliers, contractors and subcontractors

* Plan and scope each project

* Produce reports on progress

* Work closely with the Engineering Manager to obtain best practise results

* Adhere to company procedure on H&S

This is an ideal position for an experienced civils professional who would like to progress their career with some exciting and challenging projects whilst bringing their own knowledge and skills to the team.

* Civil Engineering degree

* Knowledgeable of the building and civil engineering statutory codes

* Previous experience managing medium to large civils projects

* Proficient in planning (MS Project) and cost control

* Customer focused

* Ability to travel to sites countrywide
