Civils Technician - South Essex
£30,000 - £35,000 + Bonus + Flexible Working + Employee Ownership
High-Quality Design Consultancy | Residential & Commercial Projects
I'm working with a well-established, award-winning civil engineering design consultancy just outside of London, and they're looking to bring a Civils Technician into their growing team.
This is an ideal role for someone with a few years of experience working on development-related infrastructure schemes to be part of a company where your contribution genuinely matters.
The Role
As a Civils Technician, you'll be producing high-quality drawings and models for infrastructure design - including drainage layouts, levels, highways geometry and more. You'll be involved across a range of residential and commercial developments, with the opportunity to support planning applications, technical approvals, and detailed design.
The team uses AutoCAD and Civil 3D, so experience with both is ideal - but if you're confident with AutoCAD and learning Civil 3D, they'll support your development.
Why This Company?
This consultancy has recently transitioned to an Employee Ownership Trust, meaning staff now share in the success of the company - including tax-free bonuses.
What They're Looking For
- 2+ years' experience as a Civils Technician in a UK consultancy
- Strong AutoCAD skills
- Experience with Civil 3D (or a willingness to develop it)
- Ability to prepare drawings for drainage, levels, and highways
- Familiarity with technical approvals (S104, S38, S278) is a bonus
- Organised, detail-focused, and a team player
What's on Offer
- £30,000 - £35,000 salary
- Performance-related tax-free bonus
- Flexible working (including hybrid options)
- Paid (pre-agreed) overtime
- Ongoing training and support
- Pension contribution
- Employee perks and discount schemes
- Friendly, supportive team environment
If you're looking to progress your career with real support, exciting projects, and a consultancy that values its people, please get in touch.
