Responsibilities
In this exciting role, to join Kier who are a strategic partner to Thames Water Capital Frameworks across the Thames Water supply and treatment regions. Delivered through an innovative internal joint venture between Kier Utilities and Kier Infrastructure Major Projects, we deliver design & build services for new and existing Infrastructure assets (below ground) and non-Infrastructure assets (above ground).
- Line Management duties of Sub-Agent, Site Engineers, and Foreman as applicable
- Site Incident management and escalation within prescribed timescales
- Implementation and monitoring of SHE policies and procedures in accordance with the Kier Integrated Management System
- Managing the submission and acceptance of key SHE deliverables issued to the client including The Construction Phase Plan
- Engage with the direct and supply chain workforce on matters of Health, Safety and Well-being, leading by example on leading indicators to promote engagement
- Plan and measure day to day work activities for effective utilisation of direct and supply chain resources to meet short-term and contract programme milestones
- Accountability for commercial forecast on your schemes, ensuring robust control of actual costs, participate in forecast reviews, final cost & value review with commercial team
- Identify opportunities to increase value through effective change management, ensuring Instructions are received and processed to realise a change to Target Cost as applicable.
- Maintaining quality standards set out in the Project Execution Plan and Inspection and Testing Plan (ITP)
Who are we looking for?
- Hold full UK Driving Licence
- Industry experience ideally including water/ wastewater capital projects'
- 5 Day - Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Certificate
- Competent judgement, problem-solving skills and commercial awareness
- Thames Water Passport (Can be arranged on commencement)
