McGinley are seeking a motivated and experienced Civils Working Ganger to join our paving team.

Role Overview: As a Civils Working Ganger within our paving team, you will be responsible for leading a team of groundworkers in the successful completion of civil engineering projects. Your role will involve working in and supervising day-to-day operations, ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to, and maintaining high levels of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise a team of groundworkers, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standard.

Coordinate and assist with the laying of paving materials, including slabs, kerbs, and other hard landscaping elements.

Oversee and contribute to general civils works, including excavation, drainage, and sub-base preparation.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on-site.

Liaise with site managers and other relevant stakeholders to ensure project timelines are met.

Maintain a high standard of workmanship and ensure quality control throughout the project.

Assist with the training and development of team members, promoting best practices and safety.

Ensure efficient use of materials and tools on-site to reduce waste and improve productivity.

Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in civils or paving works, with a solid understanding of paving techniques and processes.

Previous experience as a Ganger or in a supervisory role within the construction industry.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.

CSCS Card (Essential).

SMSTS , GOLD CSCS or SSSTS qualification (essential).

Full UK driving license (Desirable).

Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Good understanding of health and safety procedures and regulations on-site.
