Clerk of Works Job in Hertfordshire

Clerk of Works Team Leader job based in Hertfordshire, managing the North West London, Hertfordshire and Midlands regions, leading a small team of Clerk of Works whilst remaining hands-on in site inspections, joining a growing site inspection team. Offering a salary of up to £55,000 + remote working + 24 days holiday + progression. To be considered you must have a strong understanding of new build residential construction from foundation to final snagging, ideally as a Clerk of Works, Site Inspector or similar background, and be willing to lead and coordinate a team.

The multidisciplinary practice is award-winning and specialises in commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, retail, mixed-use and residential. Offering a multitude of services in Architecture, BIM, M&E, Engineering, Surveying, Project Management and H&S. Made up of 6 offices and 350 staff, they are continuing to grow and offer excellent progression opportunities as well as financial support towards relevant industry qualifications and accreditations. Their 32-strong site inspection team is growing and the role with offer further development as the department grows, the role will be split between site inspections 1-2 days per week and the rest coordinating a site inspection team across multiple projects, working remotely from home.

Role & Responsibilities

- Clerk of Works duties on new build residential construction projects

- Staff and team management

- Resource management / coordination

- Commercial management of projects

- Training / team-building

- Business Development/networking

- Client liaison

- Quality Assurance.

Required Skills & Experience

- Experienced in new build large-scale residential projects

- Ideally previous experience working as A Clerk of Works / Site Inspector

- A detailed knowledge of various forms of construction

- Experienced in producing site inspection reports

- Ability to read construction drawings

- Ability to manage/coordinate a small site inspection team

- Microsoft Office

- MICWCI, MCIOB, MRICS, ICWCI or MCABE is essential

- UK Driving Licence and own vehicle.
