CNC Operator /Setter/Operator/Miller/Turners required in Melton Mowbray

Our client based in Melton Mowbray is looking for CNC Operator to join their team on a permanent position. There are numerous morning and afternoon positions available. The client works with a specific type of machinery on site so experience working with 3, 4 & 5 Axis - Mazatrol and Fanuc experience is desirable. Candidates could be working on CNC milling or turning, fabrication, welding and laser profiling. The candidate will be shadowed for their first week working with a senior member of staff before working by themselves

The client is a manufacturing company which specializes in complete project management, precision fabrication, machined components, complex integration and testing. They work in the defense, rail and aerospace sectors.

Shift times

Mornings - Monday to Friday 06:30-15:00 (Early finish on a Friday)

Mornings (programmers only) - Monday to Friday 08:00-16:30 (Early finish on a Friday)

Afternoons - Monday to Friday 15:00-01:00 (Early finish on a Friday)

Overtimes is available

Responsibilities

  • Program, set and operate 3, 4 & 5 Axis. Mazatrol and Fanuc experience essential.
  • Quality focused and capable of working to a high level of attention to detail.
  • The ability to read, understand and work to engineering drawings.
  • Responsible for producing components from 1 off's and short batches across a wide variety of component types in various materials and too tight tolerances when required.
  • Fully utilize modern machining techniques and fixture requirements.
  • Inspect and be responsible and accountable for signing off your own work to ensure it meets with the required customer drawing tolerances.
  • Manual machining - Milling and Turning experience would be an advantage
  • Must have a flexible approach and attitude as our clients often require a quick turnaround service.

Candidate must haves

  • Experienced in CNC operator / programming- 3, 4 & 5 Axis. Mazatrol and Fanuc experience
  • Flexible approach and attitude due to the variety of work.
  • Must have the experience to work unsupervised to achieve the desired customer component requirements.
  • Looking to join a small team of precision engineers and working as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of good machine working practices.
  • Experience of machining to tight tolerances.
  • Must have own transport to Melton Mowbray.
