Cennox are seeking an experience operator of a CNC Router machine to work in Southeast London based at our signage company. This is a fast paced ever changing diverse and challenging industry where no 2 weeks are the same.

Based at our Southeast London fabrication plant close to all transport links including walking distance from West Norwood train station your work will mainly be associated with the CNC router operation, general sign fabrication and other works associated with our trade. We are looking for someone who can create files, programme using Sign lab software, examine and modify CNC programmes to suit materials and finishes and set up tools and changers. You will be able to load materials onto the CNC Router and finally, create a sign. This role will also require you to carry out matching of components from different materials such as acrylics, woods and non ferris metals, identify and make good any errors that are found.

You will be working with managers and supervisors to implement the Company's policies and challenges where we always welcome suggestions to improve our service and methods. Good housekeeping is a must, and your workplace is expected to be clean and tidy, healthy, and safe at all times.

Training on software can be provided but experience in programming, setting, and operating the CNC Router is essential, and you must have a good understanding of engineering/fabrication drawings, tool selections and cutting strategy. Experience of working with plastics, non-ferrous materials and woods within the sign industry using a CNC router is prudent and we would expect you to have worked in a similar role and be able to work on your own initiative and to a high standard.

Previous knowledge using CAD/CAM is an advantage, but experience working with either Artcam, CorelDRAW, Adobe illustrator or similar programs to Signlab/engrave lab is a essential.

We work with a CNC Router, 3 axis machines for cutting signs, this is not the same as a milling or lathe tool and experience on a similar machine is a must.
