Experienced CNC Team Leader required, to work for a well established manufacturing specialist in the metal sector, based in Rotherham.
The Rotherham client are seeking a self-motivated, experienced Team Leader, on a permanent basis. The CNC Team Leader must have previous team leader/ management experience within the engineering industry, and must be ok travelling to the site.
Candidates will be expected to help & advise staff on the shop floor, whilst ensuring that staff are following processes and procedures.
Roles & Responsibilities
CNC Team Leader duties will include, but wont be limited to the following:
- Attend meetings for production / contract updates as required
- Writing and proving CNC milling programs for all machines as required (Fanuc)
- Set up and develop new and existing products on machine centres
- Design and create jigs and fixtures
- Training operators on the use of machinery and product knowledge and processes
Skills required
- Knowledge of vertical machining centres
- Knowledge of Fanuc
- Experience of offline programming (Edgecam preferably)
- Ability to work efficiently and build effective working relationships
- Experience in a similar role/environment
- CNC Miller Setter/Operator/ Programmer background
- Leadership experience of small teams
Shift times
Mon-Fri 7am-4pm
Payrate
£35k - £40k per annum depending on experience
