We are working with a successful Further Education college group in Wales, employing nearly 900 professional and dedicated staff, on a full-time, part-time and sessional basis, across 9 campuses throughout Neath Port Talbot and Powys.

We are keen to recruit talented individuals who are passionate about helping us to deliver the highest standards of education and training to local people, communities and businesses. We are currently recruiting for a College Counsellor for 20 hours per week on a temporary ongoing basis. The days/hours required are as follows: Monday 9:00 - 4:30 (inc half hour break), Tuesdays 9:00 - 4:00 (inc half hour break) and Thursdays 9:00 - 4:00 (inc half hour break)
Role responsibilities
To provide an effective, confidential counselling service to students
The person & qualifications
A Level 6 qualification Diploma in Counselling and/or relevant experience
Accreditation with BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy)
Knowledge and practice of BACP Code of Ethics
Experience of working with young people
Knowledge and understanding of the issues which bring FE and HE students to counselling services and factors affecting the mental health of students
High level of personal integrity and be able to respect confidentiality
Level 2 qualification in English& Maths and IT.
