Responsibilities
As Collison Data Input and Analysis Technician you'll be working within the Asset & Professional Services Team, supporting them in reducing numbers of people being injured on the roads through thorough data analysis and targeted interventions.
Your day to day will include:
- Maintaining an up-to-date collision database through the accurate and timely input of incident details in line with all statutory duties of the highway authority (Road Traffic Act 1988, Section 39), and requirements of the Department for Transport
- Collating, inputting data and electronically storing copies of police collision report forms in accordance with agreed police, West Northamptonshire Council and North Northamptonshire Council data protection protocol and Department for Transport standards
- Verifying collision report forms for completeness / accuracy and resolving any issues by means of desktop investigation
- Providing baseline data analysis in line with the current reporting structure for the client and partners within the Northamptonshire Safer Road Alliance including other internal/external stakeholders
- Producing reports and detailed analysis of data
This role of Collison Data Input and Analysis Technician is great for you if you can:
- Demonstrate an analytical background
- Show an ability to process and interpret detailed information
- Use Microsoft Office at a sound level to interrogate data for reports
