Kier work in partnership with UKPN to distribute approximately 27% of the UK's electricity, serving 8 million homes and businesses in London, the South East and East of England. The alliance is charged with delivering £1bn programme in the 2016-2023 ED1 regulatory period. Kier Utilities has been appointed to undertake cable and electrical infrastructure projects across the Southern and Eastern Power Networks (SPN & EPN).
We're looking for an enthusiastic Commercial Accountant to join the commercial team in St Austell and support the Quantity Surveyors. We'll need the successful post holder to ensure all reporting requirements required for the business are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Provision of front-line support to the business management including attending local contract management and customer meetings where required. You'll also be required to analyse balance sheets and reconciliation for key accounts and complete quarterly rolling forecasts and annual plans.
What do we need from you?
Previous experience in a commercial accounting tole post qualification (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) is essential as well as strong Microsoft office skills, financial modelling skills and a detailed understanding of financial forecasting.
