We're looking for a Commercial Administrator to join our Kier Housing Maintenance Team based in Walsall. Within this role working among a great team, supporting the delivery of a planned maintenance & repair solution for our prestigious client.

Location: Walsall Office based

Contract: Permanent, Full Time - flexible and part-time hours available if desired, just let us know

Responsibilities

As a Commercial Administrator, you'll be working within the Kier Housing Maintenance Team supporting them in various areas.

Your day to day will include:

  • Raise jobs from the client and allocate works to Labour resource or Sub Contractor in a timely manner
  • To interrogate the job cost information in Oracle and Concept to ensure all works undertaken are correctly charged to our clients
  • To liaise with the appropriate Quantity Surveyor, Contract Manager, Quotes Team or Helpdesk Team to obtain supporting information where necessary to enable the production of sales invoices
  • To submit monthly applications for work completed to the client in line with the monthly submission due dates
  • To manage any client queries and audit requirements arising from the invoices or monthly applications
  • To prepare and maintain the WIP Tracker for the purpose of progressing job completions through the department at the earliest opportunity to enable work to be invoiced/applied for in a timely manner
  • To analyse the work in progress reports and prepare and review contract performance for consideration by Commercial/Finance/Operations team
  • To review loss making jobs to identify trends and produce recommendations to the business to minimise the financial impact to the P&L
What are we looking for?

This role of Commercial Administrator is great for you if:

  • Holder of Full Drivers' Licence
  • Desirable previous experience using workplace/work order management system such as our in-house system Concept Evo/FSI Go
  • Previous knowledge of & experience in similar industries to social housing, property/housing maintenance, construction, or property services
  • Customer-focused office administration background
