Location: Tempsford, Sandy


Job Purpose

The role is responsible for carrying out functions, primarily, related to the sales aspect of the Department within established timescales and deadlines in an efficient manner. To support QS's and Assistant QS's in effective commercial management of receiving client payment and outgoing supply chain payments by producing timely and accurate applications.

This role will also involve some interaction with the Costs Administrator and will require the jobholder to ensure accuracy and completeness of their work.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to processes and procedures in operation
  • Assist Quantity Surveyors' and Assistant Quantity Surveyors in receiving and validating completed work packs from remote site locations
  • Assist in validating applications for payment / invoices received from subcontractors for payment
  • Investigate, log and resolve queries in a timely manner
  • Reconcile weekly payments to Subcontractors and provide support and assistance to other team members.
  • Assist in reduction of Work in Progress jobs.
  • Work within timescales and deadlines as required and attend team meetings as required
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external personnel
  • Attend team meetings as required and ad hoc duties as required by Management
  • Production of Notices of Payment for issue to Subcontractors
  • Production and notification of Contra charge invoices for issue to subcontractors
  • Production of Payment Certificates and input contract charges that are applied through SITEMAN system
  • Monitor and chase operational or site teams for any missing or invalid data
  • Any other reasonable finance or commercial related activities, tasks or duties as may be required to meet the ongoing or changing needs of the business.

  • Experience of working within a team
  • Good organisational skills
  • Experience of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, WORD etc.)
  • Accounts experience
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Numerate
  • Ability to work to timetables, schedules and deadlines
  • Ability to contribute to ongoing processes and procedures
