Commercial Administrator - 12 Month FTC

Salary and benefits: Salary Circa £18,000 Per Annum, Pension Matched to 7.5%, two Share Scheme options, 26 days Annual Leave, Discounts at over 800 retailers.

We are looking for a Commercial Administrator to join our team in the busy Bristol office, working as part of a team you will provide administration support to the Quantity surveyors covering for 12 months maternity leave.

What will you be doing?

You will provide an efficient administration service to the wider commercial team by receiving and validating completed work packs from site locations, validating applications for payment / invoices received from subcontractors for payment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate, log and resolve queries in a timely manner
  • Reconcile weekly payments to Subcontractors and provide support and assistance to other team members.
  • Assist in reduction of Work in Progress jobs.
  • Work within timescales and deadlines as required and attend team meetings as required
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external personnel
  • Production of Notices of Payment for issue to Subcontractors
  • Production and notification of Contra charge invoices for issue to subcontractors
  • Production of Payment Certificates and input contract charges that are applied through SITEMAN system
  • Monitor and chase operational or site teams for any missing or invalid data

  • Key Skills and Qualifications:

    Essential:
  • Accounts experience
  • Experience of working within a team
  • Good organisational skills
  • Experience of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, WORD etc.)
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Numerate

  • Desirable but not essential:
  • Experience of telecoms or other utility / contractor's application for payment processes
  • Appreciation of construction works
  • Understanding of SITEMAN (CPA
  • Knowledge of SUBCONTRACTOR PAY system
