Excellent opportunity to relocate to New Zealand to deliver £100m+ Projects working with one of the largest Construction companies in the country.

Location: - New Zealand - Auckland

Salary: £130,000 - £180,000 basic + Car or Allowance + Relocation Package

(House is provided for 1 month after this you will be expected to rent or buy your own home as this is a permanent role. Looking for someone willing to fully relocate to New Zealand)

Description

The Resolute Group has been retained by a Main Contractor in New Zealand to support the mobilisation of several projects across the country. Ranging from £50m to £800m in value we are looking for initially a Commercial Director and Project Director but will be looking for positions down to Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors.

A Commercial Director in this organisation reports into the General Manager of the business and has total control of the project costings. Typically leading a project from Tender & Bid pricing through to completion and final accounts of the scheme. Due to a number of delayed projects going live they need someone to start in January 2024 that can be in the delivery phase. Taking project through procurement & Sub Contractor agreements through to managing the commercial team and full completion and commercial final accounts.

The project setup is broken down into 3x key areas at the delivery stage,

  • Operations - Senior Project Managers.
  • Technical - Design Leads.
  • Commercial - Senior Commercial Managers.

Working alongside the Project Director you will have full control of the commercial team for the project. With your role both leadership and development of the team and to control the programme costs. Fully responsible for managing any variations and contractual issues that may happen as the construction programme is delivered.

The New Zealand supply chain is small and very collaborative so having someone that can build strong relationships with both the clients and suppliers is key. Working in partnership is very important, having a collaborative supply chain is key to a successful delivery.

Full relocation is available for you and your family from getting your initial accommodation, support with Schooling and the moving of your possessions into the country.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Degree - Minimum requirement to be able to obtain a visa, Ideally in Quantity Surveying or Construction based subject such as Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
  • Major project experience - Having at least 1x major project £50M+ delivered by you as the No1 commercial manager on site.
  • Must be able to fully relocate to New Zealand as the first project is 5 years in duration and they want people that want to be part of the culture.
