Gleeson Recruitment Group are delighted to be supporting an industry leading FTSE 100 listed firm in the recruitment of an exciting Commercial Finance Manager position.
This role sits within an established division that provides great scope for professional growth - the hiring manager has a track record of developing high performing teams empowering their direct reports to operate autonomously with confidence.
Responsible for pricing, tenders and analysis, this is a key role within the divisions commercial team contributing to the ongoing commercial development of the business. You will work closely with the sales team within the business unit, providing insightful analysis, support and challenge of the commercial business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the co-ordination of tender activity or work as part of wider country level initiatives. Work with key account leads to proactively support customer specific activities.
- Work with the Commercial Finance Business Partner to develop and implement the pricing strategy for the cluster.
- Manage daily price quoting activities across the business unit through the pricing team, driving a consistent commercial approach to support both volume and margin growth.
- Develop a quotation feedback loop for the cluster to provide insightful information to drive further pricing levels / customer / market understanding.
- Maintain the pricing tracker, providing full transparency over price changes and anticipated revenues.
- Understand and communicate where and how the business creates value. Assist the Commercial Finance Business Partner in providing challenge to the business to improve its commercial performance
- Provide insight into the key drivers of volume, revenue and margin performance to influence decision making and to drive action planning within the business.
- Provide customer level analysis and insight to support the sales team in understanding the performance of specific accounts.
- Influence and drive the sales demand planning process to provide visibility of volume, revenue and margin over a rolling 12-month period, and the associated assumptions.
- Reconcile the demand plan with the financial forecast to ensure ongoing alignment of expectations highlighting risk and opportunity.
- Lead the sales and volume forecast and budgeting process for the business.
- Provide challenge and support to the commercial teams to better understand customer profitability and support the development of the overall sales and margin strategy.
- Provide analysis to understand the routing profitability for the cluster and work with the teams to drive value for the business.
- Manage the cluster working capital reduction (receivables), working with the sales team to develop and execute plans to deliver agreed targets. Manage the credit risk of the business unit.
