Title: Commercial Manager - Construction
Salary: £55k + Benefits
Location: Dorset
This is an excellent opportunity to join a top five steel fabrication company who are seeking to recruit a Commercial Manager. If you have a drive for quality and high levels of performance to get things right first time, this could be the role for you!
As a Commercial Manager, you will be reporting to the Director and will have full commercial management of individual contracts. You will be involved with a large variety of high value projects with high profile clients. You will be required to safeguard the Company's commercial and contractual position and entitlements on individual contracts as well as the delivery of contracts in line with established KPI's.
Responsibilities:
:: Pricing / Tender writing for engineering and fabrication projects.
:: Total financial management of allocated projects
:: Supervision & management of cost value performance of projects allocated
:: To liaise internally between all departments and with the end client to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the correct specification.
:: Travel to sites to meet clients as and when required
:: Provide full support to the Divisional Manager and other project team members
:: provide support to the estimating and purchasing department
:: Prepare, submit & agree applications for payment
:: Resolve contractual issues
Essential Experience:
:: Background in working on either large steel projects, cladding or with a principal contactor.
:: In depth knowledge of the Construction Industry
:: Contractually astute
:: Financial responsibility for the commercial performance of projects in excess of £20m
:: Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
