There is a brilliant opportunity to work closely for a market leading contractor in Belgium on a major Life Sciences project. This job role will allow you to be an integral part of their exciting engineering division, that work on highly complex and technical engineering projects. As the Commercial Manager you will be working with the Commercial Lead, overseeing the delivery of a cleanroom facility and ensuring project profitability and customer satisfaction.

This successful contractor is working with some of the largest clients in the world, having a good year in terms of business with a multi-billion-pound turnover. If successful, this job will allow you to become an established Commercial Manager in the industry, with fantastic opportunities to progress your own career, in a growth sector in the current construction and engineering markets.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Taking on a key role in financial delivery on key projects, delivering to the agreed targeted profit margins
  • Liaise closely with client representatives in order to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ensure team approach is clearly aligned with company expectations
  • Monitor financial resources on allocated projects to DCM, ensuring key risks are clearly identified and brought to the attention of Project Director/ Commercial Lead.
  • Ownership of implementing solutions to support the project financial team
  • Ensure continuous improvement in divisional financial processes
  • Regular meetings with divisional financial director and divisional commercial manager

Personal Requirements

  • Experience in establishing, managing and leading a large project or multiple smaller projects
  • Experience in claims resolution with the employer and trade
  • Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction related subject
  • Experience in most form of contracts
