We're looking for a Commercial Manager to join our Source Design team, based from both our Maple Cross office and from home, plus travel to offices and sites across the portfolio. Within this role, you can enjoy working on projects such Civils surrounding HS2 and within a business area with current turnover of £10 million, with expectations of growth.

Location: Working from home, our Maple Cross office and travel to sites

Contract: Full Time, Permanent - flexible and part-time hours may available if desired, just let us know.

Responsibilities


As a Commercial Manager, you'll be working within the Source Design Team managing resources (people and finance) and supporting them in maximising planned gross margin through placement and control of contracts and subcontracts. Our Source Design team provide design solutions to both internal and external Kier clients, and we're looking for someone with commercial management experience within the world of utilities.

Your day to day will include:


  • Assessing, reviewing, and mitigating commercial and contractual risks and implement Kier Group's policies for risk management.
  • Completing and supporting the authorisation and submission of project variations
  • Maximising cash flow through the control, measurement and valuation of work, and the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers.
  • Delivering periodic reporting requirements within deadlines provided
Who are we looking for?

This role of Commercial Manager is great for you if you:


  • Either hold a Degree in Surveying or proven experience in commercial management
  • Have experience of surveying and line management
  • Hold knowledge of NEC contracts
  • Have a full Driving Licence.
