Welcome to Kier Facilities Management - the team that's putting people into FM, delivering an incredibly wide range of innovative management and maintenance solutions, right across the UK. We're a crucial part of Kier Places, providing hard and soft facilities management to hundreds of Government department sites and public buildings - offering you a role that will challenge and reward you, every single day.

Kier Places are recruiting now for a Commercial Quotes Supervisor to join our team in Basingstoke to assist with an increasing workload and play a crucial role in delivering a best-in-class pricing service for one of our key public sector contracts, whilst positively contributing to the overall revenue management by ensuring accurate cost estimating, minimising the impact on cash flow & WIP and reduce commercial risk for open jobs. This role will involve managing a quotes team, supervising & approving necessary work, as well as providing cover for the Commercial Revenue/Quotes Manager.

Key Responsibilities

The Commercial Quotes Supervisor is an integral & trusted member of the Commercial team, where you'll monitor performance of staff and ensure they are working to best practice - defining expectations in line with business activity, giving guidance as to how to achieve targets via reviews, and one-on-one coaching. The jobs that will be priced are for reactive & minor project works for our sites across the UK, where you will need to work with the Quotes Administrators to ensure works are quoted, tendered, approved and recommended appropriately, working to achieve right-first-time quotes & estimates to reduce billing queries.

Working collaboratively with all stakeholders, the Commercial Quotes Supervisor will maintain an accurate Quotes Tracker, attending regular review meetings to obtain technical detail and instructions from the Contract Managers, deal with matters that arise to ensure work is kept within acceptable measures, and work with the operational managers to develop & manage key stakeholder relationships through transparent and accurate reports, looking at margin and commentary. You will also work closely with the Commercial Revenue/Quotes Manager to ensure appropriate escalation of queries and deputise in their absence.

What do we need from you?

Ideally, you'll be financially astute with Microsoft Excel proficiency, have excellent data handling skills, and a solid understanding of pricing and managing WIP. The ideal candidate would have a Finance or Quantity Surveying related qualification or background, be Excel proficient to an Advanced level, and have working knowledge of Accounting practices.
