12-14 months maternity cover
Must have previous compliance experience
Main roles of the post:
* Ensuring all compliance certificates are updated on Arthur and our local housing server.
* Managing all compliance activity as it relates to: LGSR, EICRs, EPC's, Legionella, FRAs, PAT testing, Landlord insurance, Damp and Mould and Fire door compliance as well as any tier 2 compliance activity.
* Monitoring cyclical fire alarm panels and emergency lighting testing and actioning any failures
* Ensuring Smoke, CO2, and Heat monitor installations (Housing officers and site managers to ensure they report to landlords or managers about alarms that need to be renewed or replaced)
* Monitoring the property inspection regime on our portfolio
* Ensuring the lift and LOLER servicing are in date and compliant (working with senior managers to address any non-compliant actions
* Ensuring the Vehicle documents are up to date MOT, Road tax and Insurance.
* Monitoring and maintaining the electronic and paper filing systems for compliance.
* Coordinating / communicating with; Landlords, Customers, and contractors to undertake the certifications.
* Following through all inspections with any non-compliance actions.
* Compiling weekly KPI reports for compliance.
* Ensuring all staff have up to date DBS checks.
* Assisting in the monitoring of the company risk register
* Assist with and cover when on holiday the customer service advisor role (training will be provided)
* Any other compliant related tasks
Skills & Abilities
* Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with tenants, residents, landlords, local authorities, external contractor's colleagues, and management both verbally and in writing.
* Good IT skills including ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Numerate with good analytical skills and communicate with clear written instructions.
* Able to lead, self-motivate and supervise your own work schedule to achieve targets and a high standard of service.
* Able to understand policies and procedures in relation to your duties and responsibilities.
* Able to analyse statistical and other information, and to produce reports when required.
* Able to plan and prioritise to your workload to ensure the effective use of your own time and that of other staff, and the delivery of work plans to timetable, often under pressure.
* Able to write accurate correspondence and reports.
* Able to introduce with ease the implementation of new services or improvements to existing services.

This role is integral in keeping our customers safe as the compliance officer, in monitoring, managing, and reporting on compliance across the organisation.
About you
We are seeking a motivated compliance officer with attention for detail to take responsibility for ensuring that all properties are compliant with all compliance obligations which will include gas safety, water safety, asbestos, Damp and Mould, electrical safety, fire safety and lift LOLER requirement. As we grow our housing portfolio we are also investing in our team, IT and support to ensure we get it "Right First Time" every time.
