Protocol are looking for Construction/ Engineering Trades experts to take on Technicians positions within Further Education Colleges based in 3 locations - Grays (RM17), Basildon (SS14) and Leigh-on-Sea (SS9).

The position will be working within the colleges construction departments and providing technical support to both college staff and students within a practical workshop setting. This will include advising staff and students on relevant technical equipment for practical teaching sessions, maintaining construction and workshop equipment and overseeing and maintaining stock and safe storage practices; in general ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of teaching areas within college workshops.

We are therefore seeking candidates from any trades backgrounds (Construction, Building services, Maintenance Operatives, Plumbing and Motor Vehicle/ Engineering etc), who have industry experience within their relevant trade. The person must also be motivated and passionate about providing quality work and maintaining high standards within a workshop environment.

Have you got what it takes?
* Experience working in any trades industry (Construction, Building services, Maintenance Operatives, Plumbing and Motor Vehicle etc)
* A positive attitude to work
* Experience working within a workshop environment (on the tools)
* Experience in a training environment or in a supervisory position

Roles on offer are Full time positions (37hrs per week) and will run on a permanent basis starting ASAP.
