Kier Places is recruiting for a Construction Planner to join their Operational Capital projects team in Loughton/London, who specialise in delivering refurbishment and new build construction projects, with a focus on delivering a number of refurbishment and cladding replacement projects within occupied buildings up to values of £10million.

This role will be responsible for managing the construction programmes across these refurbishment and cladding projects. This division has a good pipeline of work, delivering high quality projects for key clients and this would be a great role for a Planner who wants to further their career within a Tier 1 contractor. The Pre-Construction team will produce the programme, and the delivery team will co-ordinate and deliver the works.

Key Responsibilities

The Planner will have operational input into the creation of the construction programme during the tender/pre-construction stage of the project and will work closely with the commercial team to develop procurement schedule. Once the project goes live you will then take ownership of the construction programme, including regular tracking of progress of performance onsite vs planned. Recording progress in the As Built Programme, the Planner will also conduct delay analysis and substantiation or act as defence towards any claims.

What do we need from you?

With experience in a similar role, or in a position to advance your career into this role, you will have experience with Planning software such as Microsoft Project or Asta PowerProject. You'll also be comfortable with the Microsoft Office suite, and have robust and efficient documentation and record keeping.
