Daniel Owen are looking for a Construction Site Manager in Newcastle NE12:

Project Details

  • Working on a 2 storey building
  • 22 week phased project in 7 sections, completing at different times. Each section will be carried out, handed over for a 1 week client move and then onto the next section.
  • Scope of the project as follows;
    • New HAVC system to Grd and 2nd floors, new ventilation to 2nd floor,
    • Electrical and data services throughout,
    • Floor finishes
    • Decoration,
    • Joinery
    • Drylining and ceilings
    • Furniture installation
    • 2no. crane lifts.
  • Welfare to be set up via site cabins for contractors and internal in the building for site office and meeting room
  • Very fast paced scheme with liquidated damages on each section
  • Working within a live building
  • Commercial fit out into an office environment
  • Working hours 7:30am - 6:30pm Monday to Saturday for the duration of the project.
  • Likely 30 trade staff on site each day.

Candidate Requirements

  • Keen eye for quality and detail
  • Efficiently manage short term programme durations
  • Ability to manage the sub contract team to hit key milestone activities in a fast paced environment
  • Very good customer service in a client facing role
  • Proven track record of delivering fast paced schemes
  • Understanding of the JCT contract terms and working with client Contract Administrators and consultancy team
  • Excellent health and safety knowledge and organisation, site will be audited by CBI H&S and client H&S regularly.
