Protocol are working closely with a Further Education College based in Bury in their search for a Construction Team Leader, to work on a full time, permanent basis.
The Role: We are welcoming applications for a Team Leader in Construction. The role will include you to deliver specifically within the Carpentry & Joinery curriculum area. Therefore the role will include Carpentry & Joinery teaching hours. As Team Leader you must deliver excellent and inclusive teaching and learning in the classroom, so that learners are inspired to succeed and progress. You will be expected to contribute to curriculum development including reviewing and evaluation of the relevant programmes. You will monitor performance on courses in area of responsibility and instigate action plans as appropriate and develop strategies for maximising success rates and, where appropriate, value added.
The candidate: We are therefore seeking candidates from a Construction/ Carpentry and Joinery background that along with trades experience have extensive experience delivering Construction and Carpentry and Joinery across the levels. The individual will also be motivated, inspiring and passionate about their subject area in order to educate and inspire learners. Team leader/ Manager experience would be preferred but extensive lecturing experience and the desire to take the next step in your career will also be considered.
Have you got what it takes?
* A level 3 qualification in a relevant field (Construction/ Carpentry and Joinery)
* A teaching qualification
* Extensive experience teaching Construction/ Carpentry and Joinery
