Construction Technical Inspector Job in Kent / Remote Working
Construction Technical Inspector job in Kent, covering sites in London and the Southeast. Our client is an award-winning multidisciplinary consultancy and due to an increasing pipeline of work they now need an experienced Site Inspector to join their team working across projects in Kent, Southern Home Counties and London. Site Inspectors, Quality Technical Inspectors, NHBC Inspectors, Clerk of Works, Building Control Inspectors or Senior Site Managers (with strong technical understanding) can be considered. The role will be site based or working remotely from home.
The multidisciplinary practice is award-winning and specialises in commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, retail, mixed-use and residential. Offering a multitude of services in Architecture, BIM, M&E, Engineering, Surveying, Project Management and H&S. Made up of 6 offices and 350 staff, they are continuing to grow and offer excellent progression opportunities as well as financial support towards relevant industry qualifications and accreditations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Regular inspections of construction work to monitor progress and quality
- Verify compliance with contractual drawings, specifications, warranty standards and Employer's Requirements
- Identify discrepancies and prepare written reports with supporting photographs
- Close liaison with main contractors and site teams to review and advise on quality management
- Occasional need to visit manufacturers to review quality
Required Skills & Experience
- Experienced in new build residential projects
- Previous experience working as a Quality Technical Inspector, NHBC Inspector, Clerk of Works, Senior Site Manager, Building Control Inspector
- A detailed knowledge of various forms of construction
- Experienced in producing site inspection reports
- Ability to read construction drawings
- Microsoft Office
- MICWCI, MCIOB, MRICS, ICWCI preferred but not essential
- UK Driving Licence and own vehicle.
