Gleesons has been exclusively partnered with a Global business looking for a Operation Manager who is looking for growth and exposures in the 3PL Industry.
Job Title : Operations Manager
Location: Carlistle
Duties:
- Manage the Operations team actively, ensuring safe and smooth site operations .
- Liaising with Internal and External teams ( Hauliers & contractors)
- Planning and roll out of Improvement processes .
- Lead daily and weekly operational meetings, optimising workforce utilisation by aligning workload with resource capacity.
- Utilise visual management tools to report operational performance and escalate issues to the Operations Manager.
- Coach and guide the operations workforce to promote best practices and compliance with the companies safe work system.
- Oversee the team's professional development through regular one-on-one sessions and performance discussions.
- Conduct site safety inspections and report findings through the site's Safety Management System processes.
- Optimise site resources through effective management of the company's absence/sickness policy.
- Execute operational tasks as directed by the Operations Manager.
- Plan all operational activities on-site, aligning tasks with customer requirements and ensuring smooth site operations.
