Location: Glasgow
Salary: £38'000 to £42'000 plus car & Benefits

Company

Britain's oldest independent manufacturer and supplier or permanent modular buildings are on the lookout for an additional Contracts Manager to join their ever expanding team. Their steel framed modular system is fabricated off site which can then be clad in traditional finishes to create permanent buildings. Their key markets are healthcare, education, commercial business, defence and custody solutions to name but a few.

We welcome applications from ex-military personnel, as well as Site Managers looking for a step-up and of course experienced Contracts Managers who are seeking a fresh challenge!


Main Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate and manage all aspects of site activities and ensure projects are run correctly, efficiently and within laid down costs.
  • Assist in the financial control of all contracts
  • Vet contract terms and conditions.
  • Supervision of sub-contractors and own workforce on site.
  • Give site tool box talks or ensure they are given and recorded.
  • Liaise with clients and attend meetings as necessary.
  • Issue orders to sub-contractors and obtain competitive prices where required.
  • Prepare site programmes using Microsoft Project or similar.
  • Carry out site surveys / assist sales.
  • Prepare Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Construction Phase Plans
  • Compile end of project maintenance files.


Person Specification

  • Manager Grade CSCS Card is essential.
  • SMSTS (desireable)
  • Knowledge of ground works and site trades.
  • The ability to oversee multiple contracts at the same time.
  • Self-motivated, organised and IT literate.
  • The holder of a full UK Driving Licence.
