My client is a medium sized multi-disciplinary building contractor, based in Essex offering refurbishments, extensions, fit-outs and new-build schemes across the South East and London (Leisure, Education, Retail, Healthcare, and Housing sectors)

They are actively on the lookout for a Contracts Manager due to successfully winning new projects.

The Role:

As a Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of our construction projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Project Oversight: Managing multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Client Engagement: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Team Leadership: Leading and motivating project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver outstanding results.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Overseeing project budgets, procurement, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Quality Control: Implementing and maintaining rigorous quality control processes to meet industry standards and exceed client expectations.
  • Health & Safety: Ensuring a safe working environment for all project stakeholders and adherence to health and safety regulations.

To be successful in the role you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in the construction industry, ideally with experience in the mentioned sectors (Leisure, Education, Retail, Healthcare, Housing).
  • A strong track record of successfully delivering construction projects on time and within budget.
  • A good understanding of construction contracts, regulations, and compliance.
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS
  • Relevant qualifications and certifications in construction or project management.
