An exciting opportunity to join an established team on a long-term collaborative Alliance agreement between Kier, UK-Power Networks, Morrison and Clancy. The ED1SON Alliance is charged with delivering a £1bn programme in the 2016-2023 ED1 regulatory period. Kier has been appointed to undertake cable, overhead line and substation infrastructure projects across the Southern and Eastern Power Networks regions. Project values typically range from £500k to £10m.
Job responsibilities
We are looking for someone to monitor and control the contracts, ensuring Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality compliance in accordance with Kier's Operating Framework, Project Lifecycle Management, and IMS. Ensure that contract documents are accurate and well maintained. Maintain excellent working relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met. To be able to Identify opportunities to improve contractual processes and devise plans to implement these changes. Ensure projects are programmed in P6 to a level of detail necessary for operational teams to deliver the projects and that the programmes are contractually compliant.
What do we need from you?
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Relevant qualifications and experience in a construction environment with excellent people and contract management skills. Full understanding of current Health & Safety Legislation, including HSWA and CDM Regulations. Knowledge and experience of alliancing. Excellent NEC3 contractual and commercial awareness and target cost contracts including the Early Warning and Compensation Event mechanisms. Demonstrate a solid understanding of legal terminology. Must have strong computer skills and knowledge of common programmes such as Microsoft Office and P6.
