Role overview

Breedon are currently seeking a Contracts Manager for our Roadway Business, based at Llay, Wrexham. You will assist the Business Manager in the day to day running of the contracting business.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Demonstrate, through visible felt leadership the highest standards of health, safety and environmental considerations on every Roadway site
  • In conjunction with the supervisor, ensure that all works are completed within the prescribed timeframes and to a high level of satisfaction that is acceptable to Roadway and our clients
  • Leadership of planing, surfacing and civils crews alongside the supervisor and foremen
  • Develop and monitor efficient programmes that meet with customer expectations and ensure optimal utilisation of all labour, plant and subcontractors
  • Ensure supervisors complete daily reports and daily job / task-specific risk assessments
  • Management of site inspection forms and undertake task audits
  • Demonstrate a high ability in delivering high-quality highway works that surpass client expectations
  • Optimising financial performance through the coordination programming and administration of all contracting operations and obligations to meet or exceed contract requirements
  • Effective management of business assets

You will be provided with a company vehicle, so a full driving licence is essential.
