Position: Contracts Surveyor
Sector: Social Housing
Location: North London
Package: £43,000 + Perks
Reporting to: Head of Asset Management
Purpose
The day to day delivery of stock improvement and re-investment programme.
Delivery of Capital, Planned and Cyclical works programmes.
Offer support to other departments with regards to stock condition data validation and works programmes.
Responsibilities
Managing major capital, planned, cyclical projects and works programmes
Delivery of Asset Management strategy
Contractors, planned and cyclical projects management
Compliance to Health & Safety performance of planned and cyclical contractors
Adhere to procurement policies and procedures
Property Team meetings
Bidding for funding and setting budgets
Key Deliverables
To represent the company in a professional manner whilst carrying out your duties
To operate well as part of team, willing to speak up and take lead when required
To be proactive and have a determined approach to business
To always act in the best interests of the company
Develop a good understanding of internal systems and how they interlink
To be prepared to challenge and be challenged
Demonstrate the highest levels of compliance
Assist in ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, good practice and policy
Demonstrate a commitment to effective team working
Experience/knowledge required
Management of planned maintenance works programmes to residential properties
Financial and numeric awareness
Experience of working within a similar role
Good communication and time management skills
Knowledge and understanding of contractual obligations under various forms of contracts
Excellent IT skills including the use of internal systems
