Position: Corporate Social Responsibility Coordinator

Location - Within 1 hour commute of Nottingham

Kier Buildings Central are looking to appoint a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Coordinator within their Nottingham office to support regional construction projects with the delivery of CSR plans and contract commitments for employment, skills and community engagement.

The team and the region: The Nottingham team have completed some outstanding projects to date and have a full order book moving forwards to continue this performance. This friendly and family felt office has a professional and dedicated team, coupled with the performance of Kier Buildings highlights this as a great opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • To support projects and offices with delivery of Employment and skills plans
  • Maximise employment and training opportunities on each project
  • Work with supply chain partners to support and deliver target commitments
  • Where needed, establish local contacts, relationships to support ES agenda
  • Liaise with appropriate organisations to place apprentices with supply chain and work placements
  • Map, Monitor and support journey / progression of Apprentices & Trainees
  • Support local spend/ inward investment programmes
  • Centrally monitor, collate and manage data and targets across the business
  • Create 'Case Studies' for PR and Marketing purposes
  • CSR related Administration duties
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to work and communicate at all levels in a way that encourages two way communications. Comfortable with both groups and individuals at all levels.
  • Adopts an organised and systematic approach to work and incorporates flexibility to respond to task changes. Manages multiple tasks
  • Gathers and assimilates the information needed to solve problems. Takes ownership of and resolves straightforward problems quickly and effectively.
  • Delegates where appropriate
  • Builds good relationships with internal colleague and external stakeholders and reviews service levels to meet and exceed expectations
  • Good command of the English Language / written skills
  • CSCS appropriate level of qualification (min. site visitor)
  • Knowledge of construction industry an advantage
