You will need to have Substance misuse experience and Support work and ideally have Criminal Justice experience but this is desirable.
The role will require you to travel in Kent to different hubs so it is essential to have a driving licence and access to a vehicle.
You will have the following:
- Previous experience of working with drug and alcohol users.
- Experience of achieving and evidencing outcomes against performance targets.
- Experience of working within a Prison or other Criminal Justice setting or of working with service users within a criminal justice setting.
- Experience of building rapport with Service Users whilst maintaining professional boundaries.
- Experience of providing a service as part of a multidisciplinary team
- An up to date Enhanced DBS
Essential Knowledge and qualification:
- Working knowledge of the principles of Recovery and Social Re-integration.
- Qualified to a minimum A Level standard or equivalent.
- Knowledge of the resettlement needs of Offenders.
- Knowledge of the multiple barriers faced by offenders and those with a history of substance misuse in relation to successful community re-integration.
- Clear understanding, with particular reference to the needs, priorities and entitlements of offenders, of at least one of the following: Welfare benefits system; Homelessness legislation; Local or Regional Labour Markets; Careers Guidance; Debt Management.
