Location: Cardiff
Responsibilities:
- Support bid teams in creating community benefits tender submissions
- Creation and Coordination of Employment and skills plan in line with project targets
- Monitor and report on training activity and achievement in line with KPIs
- Collation and reporting of TR&T and Community Benefits performance indicators across sites and for board reports.
- Oversee SV evidence collection in line with reporting requirements
- Oversee upload of required data ie Value Wales Toolkit
- Manage planned customer communications
- Respond to queries from staff and customers concerning projects and Social Value activities
- Develop and maintain links with local stake holders
- Arrange and manage Social Impact engagement activities ie Meet the Buyer, PR opportunities.
- Coordinate liaison with supply chain partners/ social enterprise and third sector organisations
- Respond to complaints from customers, resolving directly with customers in accordance with the complaints process.
- Completion of case studies, project value reports in relation to all frameworks
- Coordination with central teams of activities and case studies for press and marketing purpose
- Provide support to site team to prepare for CCS audits and attend all audits.
- Arranging work placement, apprenticeship and graduate opportunities.
- Create site newsletters and internal Kier Connectings.
- All social value communications delivered for project works as required. This will include liaising with operational and client staffs to ensure all aspects are delivered.
- If required respond to and resolve all customer complaints passed for resolution in accordance with Kier complaints procedures
- Arrange community engagement events as required
- Delivery against ESP targets and outcomes, client reporting on targets
- Encourage partnership working with local community and third sector organisations
- Report on charitable fundraising activities
- Report on local social value factors such as economic benefit such as supply chain spend
- Work with Central CR team to assist with the development and delivery of SV Plan
- Delivery of SV activities in line with the plan
- SV plan updated (at least) monthly
- Recording of SV activities on eligible projects
- Co-ordination of Employment and skills outcomes monitoring and recording
- Work with operational team - providing guidance, leadership, motivation and support and ensuring that targets are set and monitored and that staff resources are appropriately allocated. This will include the promotion of SV activity amongst the team
- Work closely with the client team to ensure the profile of Kier's SV is maintained at an appropriate level
- Able to act as coach for SV related issues for operational staff
- Be able to deliver briefings / talks regarding SV strategy and activity to staff at all levels
- Implement appropriate performance measurements to monitor SV activity across groups and ensure continuous improvement plans are put in place to respond to feedback received and to develop the services
- Assume responsibility for the management of SV delivery ensuring that robust processes are implemented and outputs are monitored
- Ensure effective internal relationships are established and maintained with staff within Kier in the region and with Kier Group
- Provide briefings, reports and presentations on SV delivery for local, regional and national senior management
- Ensure that Kier project delivery and services are responding effectively to local, regional and national policy agendas
- Ensure the effective contribution to the national Kier 'I' connecting system
- Take a pro-active approach and reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and others who may be affected by their activities at work, including occupants, visitors and members of the public
- Report on any hazards or unsafe practices to their line manager
- Act in a professional manner at all times
- Ensure protective clothing and Health and Safety equipment provided is used correctly and when required, in accordance with risk assessments
- Co-operate with health surveillance programmes
- Maintain a working environment that is safe and without risk to health in accordance with the Kier Group Safety, Health and Environment management system ('KGSHEMS')
- Ensure effective and compliant health and safety process and procedure is followed for all CR activivty including work experience, traineeships, community projects.
- To work with SHE team to ensure effective capture and recording of key areas such as CO2, energy consumption and other sustainability measures and that this data is reported both internally and externally as required
- All duties and responsibilities should be carried out in accordance with agreed Services and Group policies and procedures, having regard to Kier's policy commitments to efficient service provision, promotion of Equal Opportunities and diversity, Corporate Social Responsibility and good employee relations
- Ensure effective support and to work jointly with other parts of the Business to promote the use and working of social enterprise that will support delivery of Kiers CR/ clients aims
- Any other duties and responsibilities as may be determined after consultation between management and the post-holder, having at all times full regard for the service area's competitiveness, efficiency and general viability
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong administrative skills required
- Experience of word processing, spread sheets, databases and email is essential
- Experience in corporate responsibility and managing communications would be an advantage
- Strong communication skills, with an ability to deal with customers over the telephone
- Literate and numerate - ability to work with numbers is required
- Knowledge of the construction industry is an advantage
