Protocol are working with an established and successful training organisation to appoint a Manager for the Engineering curriculum.
Reporting to the executive and managing the Team Leaders, Instructors and Assessors you will be responsible for the effective operation of the training department and ensure compliance to the relevant awarding and legislative bodies.
?Take the lead responsibility in production of Self-Assessment Report and Quality Improvement Plan
?Discipline, Safety, Welfare and Safeguarding of learners within Skills Training Centre (Engineering)
?Ensure coverage of training programmes as laid down by SEMTA (EAL), units of competence and other lead bodies as appropriate
?Supply Chief Executive with routine (monthly) operational/monthly reports
?Implement and maintain stock control and inventories of equipment, tool, materials necessary for the correct training
?Ensure completion of accurate and detailed 6 week reports
?Ensure effective IQA arrangements
?Management of exam invigilation rostering
?Attend management meetings as required
?Attend PR, Careers events and represent the business and learning programmes
?Identification of further training needs to provide possible extra business.
?Centre co-ordinator - assessment centre - EAL, City & Guilds
?Staff appraisal/departmental training plan/performance reviews (performance management scheme)
?Ensure Skills Training Centre (Engineering) facilities are fit for purpose and are maintained/repaired accordingly
?Maximise funding on ESFA contract, monitoring performance on a monthly basis and agreeing annual performance
?Ensure department operates within agreed budgets and generates a financial surplus to allow re-investment and growth
?Management of Health and Safety, training, monitoring and assessment of skills training department, learners therein and in company
?Act as nominee during Ofsted inspections
?Learner progression and associated tracking
