Summary

Gleeson have an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our highly skilled and professional Group finance team, reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting. This role will be responsible for the capture, analysis and presentation of data to support the company's reporting and decision making, primarily relating to environmental reporting.

Main Responsibilities

  • Tracking of ESG reporting trends and performance monitoring against KPI's, including carbon emissions tracking, for reporting to management and the Sustainability Committee.
  • Maintenance of the Group's carbon emission modelling, providing vital data to support the Group's carbon reduction plans.
  • Other data modelling including using financial, sustainability and operational data for forward-looking decision making.
  • Monitoring external market and macro-economic data, trend analysis and peer comparison to provide insights into the market and competitive environment.
  • Building dashboards and internal reporting tools to improve the quality of data presentation to management and the Executive Directors.
  • Supporting the presentation of data and insights in external communications, including the annual report.
  • Implementing controls around data capture, handling and review to ensure the robustness of data being used by the business.
  • Identifying data quality issues and working with internal and external stakeholders to develop corrective actions.

Ideal Candidate

  • 2 years experience in either data analysis, ESG or a similar financial role
  • AAT or other financial accounting qualification, or related experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • High attention to detail and quality as part of a highly motivated, professional team.
  • Excellent analytical skills using a range of data analysis or statistical techniques
  • Strong project management skills
