A DBS checked, NIC EIC Electrician is required for a nationwide LED lighting specialist company in East London. Our Client is an industry leader in commercial electrics and they are looking for 6 Electricians who can assist them on a school project.
The job:
This project will involve changing lighting in 34 x Classrooms. Existing Lighting is suspended from concrete ceilings and will be replaced on a like for like, point by point basis. Ceiling height is 3.0m and Luminaire suspension height is 2.5m.
Precise laser measurement is required to point in all suspension points, and impact drilling is required to secure suspension locating pins into the concrete ceilings. Please ensure you have the relevant tools and equipment for this.
All lighting is on Clicks Plugs for safe and easy isolation and Maintained Emergency lighting is to be replace on an exact point for point/like for like basis.
Each existing row of lighting takes circa 5 minutes to completely dismantle and remove, and each row of new lighting takes circa 30 mins to install including wiring and suspension. New LED Luminaire rows are linked together in a linear "mechano" style using a fixing bracket and 4 x locating screws per fixture. Each luminaire and joining plates are through wired in series for safe and easy electrical connections.
This project does require a more experience Electrician/Electrical Contractor who has competence and experience in installing this kind of LED Lighting system.
The demand/governance of the project is to ensure as a project requirement that 4 x classrooms are completed daily per team of 3 x Electrical Contractors. Each classroom has 3 x rows of Lighting.
Electricians are expected to remove all waste to relevant skip and point on site at the end of the working day.
Requirements:
- A valid CSCS Card
- NIC EIC Accreditation References
- DBS Certificates
- IPAF ticket is preferred but not mandatory
