Key responsibilities:

  • Implement the business plan for the business unit in such a way as to deliver maximum benefit for the IA
  • To lead the area operational team and locally deployed support functions (comprising employees from all IA Partner organisations) to deliver agreed objectives aligned to the ODIs
  • Actively embed the Thames Water brand in customer facing teams to maximise its effectiveness in supporting a consistent customer experience
  • Drive a high performance culture within the operational delivery team to help achieve the targets specified in the Operational Delivery Incentives (ODIs)
  • Manage annual budgets, forecasts and financial controls
  • Drive a culture of safety, wellbeing, performance management and exceptional customer service and experience
  • Actively promote a continuous improvement culture that has sustainable strategic impact on both operational and the wider business performance
  • Improve business resilience by aligning processes and systems into a single way of operating across the whole

    Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experienced senior leader with a proven capability to translate vision into tactical objectives and activities that motivate delivery excellence.
  • Experience of controlling large multi-functional teams across geographically dispersed areas and maintaining safe operational practice
  • High degree of commercial and strategic awareness
  • Ability to deliver against operational targets
  • Experience of delivering customer-focused services.
