Our Integrated Maintenance & Repair (IMR) Alliance is responsible for providing our customers with safe cleaning drinking water through a network of 37,000km of pipes. This new role will be pivotal in ensuring that our maintenance and repair activities on the network, are managed effectively and efficiently to our customers expectations.
We are looking for an IMR Delivery Resource Manager to join our Senior Leadership team. The role will be accountable for resource forecasting, enabling activities, plant readiness, planning and delivery of over 100 front line field maintenance and repair teams from all 3 Alliance partner organisations.
What will you be doing?
As our IMR Delivery Resource Manager, you'll play a fundamental role in driving efficiency of operational delivery and achieving against all of our Outcome Delivery Incentives and KPIs. The senior team you will be part of, has full accountability for Water Quality, Service, Leakage and Interruptions to Supply whilst always continuously improving to deliver efficiently.
Leading and motivating a team of managers to lead their specific teams to continued success, you'll ensure you create a culture which promotes collaboration and innovation as we look to exceed customer expectations in challenging and changing times for the Water industry.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop overarching strategies that are transformational and look to increase overall safety, service and financial performance of front line employees
- Lead and own the strategic priorities for IMR resource management ensuring all activities are aligned to the IMR business plan
- Establish, develop, coach and maintain a high performing team to drive continuous improvement
- Monitor key performance measures to identify trends with the potential to impact successful delivery and develop appropriate mitigation.
- Promote a more proactive and planned approach to resource forecasting and planning by driving the team to deliver optimised schedules to outperform targets.
- Oversee the effective management of dependencies raised on jobs by utilising the relevant tools to ensure compliance with CDM regulations, reduce aborted visits and increase IMR effectiveness.
- Oversee management of risk by identifying causes of uncertainty and implement a "Right First Time" approach throughout teams.
As our IMR Delivery Resource Manager, you'll have significant experience in a Senior Manager role and be able to demonstrate your ability to be a leader of high performing teams whilst influencing change.
You'll be a leader of operational experts. It is your leadership, change and influencing skills and experience that will be of paramount importance. Ideally (but not essentially) you'll have experience of processes and procedures within the Water and/ or logistics industries, where delivery in the field for customers is essential.
You'll be able to assess risks and make important operational decisions within dynamic situations., You'll have the ability to operate at both tactical and strategic levels to deliver commercially viable and effective solutions to enhance the services to our customers.
With a track record of delivering in a collaborative environment, you'll be able to influence a range of stakeholders by using your strong communication skills and technical expertise to be a credible Senior Leader within our Alliance. You'll need to think commercially, whilst ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our employees and making our customers and the communities we serve at the forefront of our decisions. , Your previous experience of being viewed as an inspirational and highly regarded leader will serve you well as you guide your team of managers through exciting yet transformational times for the Water industry.
