Job Title: Demand Planner

Location : Birmingham (Solihull)

Job Duties:

  • Plans, coordinates, and executes activities within its domain to effectively achieve business objectives.
  • Analyses customer inputs to generate short, mid, and long-term forecasts and schedules, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer demand.
  • Processes customer orders in the ERP software, aligning production volumes with customer and internal stakeholder agreements.
  • Actively supports customer collaboration initiatives to enhance service and manage forecast activities proactively.
  • Maintains and updates ERP/MRP system data accurately, aligning planning parameters with group standards.
  • Extracts consistent and accurate data sets to drive effective decision-making.
  • Reviews forecasts and schedules for performance improvements and cost efficiency's.
  • Contributes to key performance indicators, reviews deviations, and proposes corrective actions to achieve KPI targets.
  • Monitors customer order variability and provides data inputs for capacity planning reviews.
  • Develops and communicates weekly production plans based on customer orders, incorporating established safety stocks per contractual requirements.
  • Prepares shipment plans, sales documents, and shipping documents, ensuring product transportation to the customer.
  • Manages sales documentation in the ERP software, updating price conditions, information records, clients, and scheduling agreements.
  • Handles customer complaint returns by verifying legitimacy with the QS department, updating ERP, and issuing correcting invoices.
  • Ensures delivery compliance to customers, resolves back orders, reduces backlog, and minimises special transportation costs.
  • Addresses unjustified demand pegging and maintains up-to-date destination shipping requirements, including dealer direct shipments.
  • Monitors EDI and CUM release variations, resolving discrepancies.
  • Tracks daily and weekly customer release schedules to ensure adherence to due dates.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 3 Years Experience in Supply chain & Demand
  • Manufacturing Experience
  • QBE / Qualifications
  • Forecasting , Planning and Data analytics
