Depot Operators Full-time, permanent: competitive salary Dagenham, East London Role overview

Breedon are currently seeking two Depot Operators based at our cement depot in Dagenham, East London. Reporting to the Depot Manager, the roles will involve operating the packing plant facility, carrying out basic fault finding and 1st line maintenance on the machinery. The roles will also involve liaising with the Admin Supervisor on warehouse issues. You will carry out general FLT and warehouse duties on a 3-shift basis (early/late/nights).

  • The successful candidates will have a proven track record of working within a production environment
  • Candidates with some mechanical and/or electrical background would be an advantage
  • A valid counterbalance FLT license is desirable (accepted RTITB and ITSSAR accreditation, tested within the last three years)
  • You will ensure that the operation meets the customer service requirements by completing each function to the highest standards
  • You will handle all aspects of Depot Operations, maintaining / operating the equipment
  • Safety is our number one priority and you should be able to demonstrate a proven and positive health and safety record including the ability to assess documents and mitigate risk
  • You will check documentation and physically check loads before departure
  • You will carry out general housekeeping and stocktaking to ensure that the profile of the site is maintained to the very highest standard
  • You will be responsible for Health and Safety of yourself and the other team members by adhering to safe working practices
