Depot Supervisor - Breedon Group

As our Depot Supervisor, you will have responsibility for the day to day safe operation of the Cement depot, which receives and distributes our products, via both rail and road networks to various locations across GB, ensuring our safety, client, people, financial, operational and sustainability performance is achieved.

This is not a job for those looking for routine and stability or an office based role, but it is the job for those who thrive on working at pace, rolling their sleeves up when required, with little red tape or bureaucracy, where you have the flexibility within a framework to make things happen and where you can make a material difference.

The Role

  • To drive a positive health, safety & wellbeing culture for all our colleagues & visitors to site
  • Oversee the operation of receipt and dispatch of Cement products for the depot
  • Supervise, develop and support all depot colleagues
  • Ensure day to day maintenance of all the depots equipment
  • Arrange and supervise all external contractors
  • Discharging of the train

Do You Offer…?

  • Proven successful experience of managing/supervising a small team?
  • An electrical/mechanical qualification?
  • NEBOSH or equivalent qualification?
  • Experience on managing results, KPIs and budgets?
  • A passion for learning and improving?
  • A valid UK driving licence?
  • Previous experience in similar heavy industry and/or train dispatching (ideal but not essential)
