We are now recruiting for a Design Coordinator to join our Utilities team in Thames Water Operational business area to.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the permanent, temporary and construction phase design development and its interfaces
  • Interface as necessary with the requirements of other stakeholder contractors and their design teams
  • Interface with the design consultant teams during the whole design process.Interface with the construction teams requirements to feed-back into the developing design
  • Review designs and drawings to ensure technical compliance with the work-scope and specifications for approval
  • Identify problems with the design development and provide regular progress reporting.
  • Comply with Thames Water's Stage Gate process through the design phase.
What do we need from you?

  • Demonstrate suitable and good relevant qualifications
  • Demonstrate relevant experience working in large scale projects on a similar role for a major civil engineering contractor
  • Be flexible and to prioritise their own works in accordance with the changing needs of the challenging construction programme
  • Be IT literate and able to administer designs through approvals within a highly regulated industry
  • Have an understanding of, and work to the requirements of CDM 2015 to minimise residual health and safety risks for construction and usage
  • Work well under pressure and manage deadlines
