Location: Basingstoke, remote working available with travel to the office
Contract: Permanent, Fulltime
Salary: £36k - £40k + 26 days of annual leave + Benefits
Responsibilities
As a Design Engineer, you'll provide technical support on various Highway design contracts within Kier Design & Technology Services. Current contracts include Local Authority Highway Works, National Highways Area & Regional Contracts particularly Major Projects A66 NTP and M6 Emergency Laybys.
Your day to day will include:
- Preparation of preliminary and detailed designs in accordance with approved design procedures for local and national authorities
- Production of design schedules, Health, Safety and Welfare contract documentation in accordance with the Construction, Design & Management Regulations 2015
- Manage the delivery of small projects or a small programme of work with minimal supervision and contribute towards technical excellence and innovation across the team
Who are we looking for?
This role of Design Engineer is great for you if you:
- Chartered or Incorporated status member accreditation or working towards
- A detailed working knowledge of relevant principles, practices and procedures in Highway Design and good working knowledge of the CDM regulations
- Competency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
