For over 60 years our client has been a major player in the development of technologies and complete turnkey solutions for the Waste to Energy, Green Energy production, Wastewater, Cement and Biomass industries. Their technology focuses on low emission and resource-efficient energy industries and has earned them the reputation of a Green Technology Company that supplies quality and reliable equipment that performs as designed. Due to recent growth, there exists a key opportunity for a Design Engineer to join the UK office team.

Reporting into the head of the Design team, you will take responsibility for the design of mechanical systems, ensuring that high quality, accurate, innovative, and cost-effective solutions are produced on time to support project delivery.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Accountable for the completion of detailed designs and product development as assigned by management, utilising company software, tools and both international and company standards.
  • Responsible for ensuring design deadlines are achieved.
  • Monitor progress, identify any areas of concern, escalate & manage expectations.
  • Support other areas of the business as required e.g procurement.
  • Collaborate with specialists from overseas sites any during technical negotiations.
  • Occasional customer visits to support the identification and scope of works.
  • Continuous improving of operations and quality of services.

You will hold a mechanical engineering degree and be able to demonstrate a credible track record of success in a similar function. A good understanding of 3D Autodesk Inventor is required, as is a proven record of success as a Design Engineer in a related engineering industry.
