Design Manager

Responsibilities
As a Design Manager, you'll be working within the Capital Projects Team, supporting them in various areas.
Your day to day will include:
- Leading and owning the Design management process and working collaboratively with our pre-construction and operational teams
- Lead internal and external design resources to ensure that high-quality design information is produced in a proper and timely manner
- Identify risks and manage all designs by subcontractors and subconsultants, ensuring they are completed in a timely and co-ordinated manner
- Attending and hosting pre-tender and post tender design team meetings and managing relationships with the Client and the appointed professional teams.
This role of Design Manager is great for you if you:
- Hold relevant qualifications relating to Construction, Design Management and/or RIBA Stages (especially Stages 5+)
- Good all-round, technical construction knowledge & Building Regulations, especially relating to external construction and refurbishment
- Have experience in a Main / Tier 1 Contractor with?similar public sector experience within mid/high-rise Residential or Commercial projects
- Experience of managing the design process including motivating & encouraging internal and external design teams and multi-disciplinary design teams
