We're looking for a Design Manager to join our Northwest Utilities team based from our offices in Sheffield or Leeds. Within this role, you can enjoy working across multiple utilities contracts helping them to run as efficiently as possible.

Location: based from the Sheffield or Leeds office with hybrid remote working available

Contract: Full time, permanent - flexible and part-time hours available if desired, just let us know.

Responsibilities

As a Design Manager, you'll be working within the Electrical and Civils project team on our Yorkshire Water and Severn Trent Water contracts, supporting with the contracts to deliver the design function.

Your day to day will include:


  • Supporting the design function throughout the project lifecycle working with the project teams and our design partners to ensure compliant designs are in place
  • Supporting the pre-construction team, senior design managers and project managers with project specific requirements on each of the projects
  • Reviewing design information and compliance to standards and agreed deliverables and to attend project specific meetings to understand overall deliverables
  • With support from Document Controllers, ensuring relevant information is communicated, timescales achieved, and information is uploaded to interna and external systems
Who are we looking for?

This role of Design Manager is great for you if you have:


  • Previous experience of working in similar environments and able to work on sites, offices and from home.
  • The ability to work on several given projects across the programme of works, with varying work types
  • Projects are spread out across the Yorkshire/North Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire area, candidates would be expected to visit sites and support site teams in line with the job role
