Provide a full and professional technical and civil engineering project draughting and structural calculation service in compliance with Building Regulations, all statutory requirements, design guides, building standards and safety requirements to satisfy our customers' needs. Role Details
  • Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum
  • Role based: York, YO32
  • Contract type: Permanent
  • Annual leave: 25 plus bank holidays
Role Responsibilities
  • Ensure the Engineer's design are correctly interpreted and drawn up within agreed timescales and in compliance with all relevant company specifications and protocols, statutory legislation and codes of practice.
  • Provide detailed engineering drawings and necessary calculations to customers, manufacturing and site operatives to enable the engineers design to be planned, constructed and installed.
  • Issue site instructions for work where deemed necessary and communicate these to the wider design and delivery teams
  • Inspect and review built engineering solutions for compliance with design intent and robust installation during off-site manufacture and on-site construction.
  • Liaise with customers (internal and external), collaborators, contractors and suppliers as required to ensure that all requirements and performance specifications are achieved.

  • Competency in the use of Microsoft Office, in particular Word and Excel
  • Expertise in the use of AutoCad
  • Thorough knowledge of Structural and Building Engineering
  • An understanding of properties and applications of common and specialist building materials
  • Working knowledge of all Building Regulations (including regional variations)
  • Degree/HNC/ONC in Engineering or a construction related discipline
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Engineering or Construction background
  • Engineering draughting of structural steelwork
