DfMA Project Manager

Salary and benefits:

Location:
Within 1 hours' commute of Wellingborough

Scope & responsibility to include:

Design

  • Technical review of DfMA Solutions
  • Failure Model and Effect Analysis, in review of prototyping and component development programmes
  • Input into and development of integrated design, process, prototyping, manufacture and assembly programme
  • Input into component testing regime - defining performance criteria and programme
  • Options appraisal of various methods for addressing IP
Supply Chain

  • Establish and challenge steps of value chain
  • Manufacturing supply chain maturity, capacity & competency assessment
  • Material sourcing strategy review
  • Critiquing manufacturing performance & methods/ lessons learnt
  • Traditional versus offsite component solution comparison
Programme

  • Programme development & management via Lean thinking and Methods
  • Development of Bills of Materials, Inventory & Operations Planning and oversight of Plan for Every Part Techniques
  • Reporting & Controls of manufacturing output rates, with mitigation plans to address delays
Logistics

  • Logistics strategy review
  • Critique and development of workplace organisation / factory design plans (inc.production flow, FMEA analysis and / or Manufacturing Execution Systems)
  • Standard Management and performance reviews
QA/Compliance

  • Development of offsite QA procedures & process control plans
  • Implementation of DMAIC toolset
  • Development of operational training and standard operating procedures
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Holder of a Full UK Drivers Licence
  • Minimum of HNC/HND in an engineering related discipline required
  • Project Management qualification
  • Previous project management experience
  • Commercial and contractual awareness
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to maintain relationships with clients, customers and suppliers
  • Team Leader with organisational skills
